An industrial designer who worked at Olivetti in 1962, where he met Ettore Sottsass, with whom he collaborated for fifteen years, Bruno Gecchelin founded his own design studio in Milan in the mid-1970s.
With clients such as Arteluce, Venini, Poltrona Frau, Tronconi, and O-Luce, he led numerous long-term collaborations, such as the one with Guzzini, which culminated in two Compasso d'Oro awards, the most prestigious prize in Italian design, in 1988 and 2002.
