In 1926 he founded, with the editor Gianni Mazzocchi, the magazine Domus, which he edited. until his death. In 1931 he was called to the artistic direction of Luigi Fontana and in 1932 - together with Pietro Chiesa - he founded Luigi Fontana. FontanaArt. He is one of the promoters of the Compasso d'Oro Award and one of the founders of ADI, he directs the Milan Triennale programs on several occasions and is a professor at the Milan Polytechnic. designed numerous famous buildings, public and private, including the houses on Via De Togni, the tower house on Corso Venezia, the RAI and Ferrania palaces, the Littoria tower in Parco Sempione, the Pirelli skyscraper in Milan, the Cathedral of Taranto , Villa Planchart in Caracas, the Museum of Modern Art in Denver.
