María Beckmann
María Beckmann is a Mexican multidisciplinary designer specializing in interior architecture, furniture design, and lighting. In her spaces, she creates atmospheres of simplicity, tranquility, and enjoyment, using natural materials and warm light to foster serenity.
With a timeless style, she strikes a balance between the classic and the modern. Through the composition of shapes, colors, and light, she achieves a balance, creating harmonious and visually stimulating spaces. She exalts both materials and craftsmanship in a simple yet precise manner, always achieving the highest quality workmanship.
One of her greatest interests as a designer is working with wood, present in most of her furniture pieces and in the design of fixed carpentry. Passionate about creating logical, solid, strong pieces, free of whims, where each design decision has a reason behind it, achieving practicality and comfort.
She seeks to take full advantage of the qualities of each material, reflecting on the daily use of the object and its impact on the space, with the firm purpose of generating joy and quality of life.
As an independent designer, she has collaborated with renowned firms such as Legorreta Arquitectos, Ignacio Urquiza Arquitecto, Agencia Social de Paisaje, Rozana Montiel Estudio de Arquitectura, Claudia Rodríguez Arquitecta, Serrano Monjaraz Arquitectos, Uribe Krayer, among others.
Her furniture and His lamps are featured in iconic spaces such as the Four Seasons Tamarindo, Camino Real Polanco, Hotel Clevia San Miguel de Allende, and Hotel Casa Fernanda in Tepoztlán. Some of his pieces have been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City and at DESIGN MIAMI, and sold internationally by Tuleste Factory in New York.
