Min Dong is an industrial designer born in Beijing and based in Milan, recognized for his innovative approach and his balance between engineering, technology, and poetic sensibility. He is Design Lead and partner for the China region at Habits Design, a studio with which he has developed a distinguished international career. She obtained a Master's degree in Design and Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 2016, training that profoundly influenced her approach to design from both a technical and conceptual perspective. Throughout her career, she has led the development of more than 100 products, many of which have received prestigious awards such as the iF Design Award, Red Dot Award, and the Good Design Award (G-Mark) in Japan.
Her work is characterized by constant research into innovative materials, emerging technologies, emotional interaction, and new usage scenarios, with the aim of expanding the boundaries of contemporary design. In his commercial projects, Min Dong conceives of design as a tool for creative exploration and personal reflection, capable of generating meaningful experiences for the user. This vision is clearly reflected in his collaborations with lighting brands such as Martinelli Luce, where his designs combine function, experimentation, and a strong narrative, actively contributing to the evolution of contemporary design language.
