Renato De Fusco was a renowned historian and essayist of architecture and design. Professor of Architectural History at the University of Naples, he also dedicated himself to the criticism of contemporary art, architecture, and design through the journal Op.cit., which he diligently directed for sixty years and which is considered one of the highest Italian cultural expressions in the field.
In 1967, the Italian National Institute of Architecture awarded him the In/Arch Prize for the journal, and in 2001 for his entire career.
