Silvia Martínez Palou is an architect, visual artist, and author associated with the Santa & Cole publishing and cultural world. Born in Barcelona in 1961, she trained at the Barcelona School of Architecture and at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she obtained her doctorate. His career combines professional practice—especially in the restoration of historic buildings—with an artistic production that explores, through printmaking, the relationship between architecture, space, and representation.
His work is characterized by reinterpreting icons of modern architecture through layered compositions that decompose geometries, materials, and light, generating images with great depth and an implicit social narrative. Using techniques such as monotype, Martínez Palou investigates texture, color, and light, transforming emblematic buildings into autonomous pieces that reflect both their formal value and their human dimension. His collaboration with Santa & Cole engages in the dialogue between art, design, and culture, contributing a sensitive and contemporary perspective on how we inhabit and understand the built environment.
