Kenneth Henry Grange (London, England, July 17, 1929 - July 21, 2024) was a British industrial designer. He began his illustrious career as a technical illustrator while doing his National Service. He subsequently established his reputation as an industrial product designer and, together with four partners, founded Pentagram, which is currently an international design firm with offices in the United States, Germany, and London. Grange's remarkable work spans half a century, and his user-focused, British-bred designs have helped shape the parameters of daily life for many. Not only have everyday household brands such as Kenwood, Parker, Kodak – and of course Anglepoise – received the Kenneth Grange treatment, but also the Intercity 125 train, the Royal Mail regional post box and the latest London Black Taxi. Grange was knighted in recognition of his designs at the 2013 New Year Honours. His designs have received ten Design Council Awards, the Duke of Edinburgh Award for Elegant Design in 1966, and in 2001 he received the Prince Philip Designers Award, a lifetime achievement award.
