Umut Yamacis a British architect and designer whose work is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach, exploring the middle ground between architecture and light. Umut graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, in 2009 and established She opened her design studio in 2011 to focus on creating objects and installations that respond to both the user and the space through playful interaction and movement. Often inspired by nature, conceptual ideas are tested through a practical making process where the studio plays a central role in the development and realization of each project. Alongside her studio work, Umut also teaches and leads workshops at numerous design schools, including the Bartlett School of Architecture and Central St Martins.
