Yuchen grew up in the picturesque Taiwanese countryside, surrounded by sea and mountains, a natural environment that profoundly shaped her aesthetic sensibility. Her passion for art and design led her to study with the intention of creating objects that would improve people's lives. After working in a design studio in Taiwan, she discovered her passion for furniture and accessories, which led her to seek international experience until settling in Denmark as an in-house designer at Normann Copenhagen.
Her design philosophy is based on balancing aesthetics and functionality, creating practical pieces for everyday life but with a touch of beauty and poetry. She begins each project by building a story behind the idea and then delves into the technical aspects. Furthermore, sustainability is a fundamental pillar of her work, seeking responsible solutions at every stage of the process.
Yuchen's inspiration comes from observing how people interact with objects in their daily lives; as well as urban furniture and vintage designs, which he reinterprets to give them a modern and relevant vision for contemporary life.
