Inspired by the Arctic, Beaufort combines carved solid wood and sandblasted acrylic in a serene and poetic composition. When unlit, the interplay between the sculpted wood and faceted acrylic reveals a subtle, glacial depth. When illuminated, light flows gently through the form, unfolding in delicate layers and highlighting the lens as an object in itself. The horizontal R5 pendant emerges from a rotation of the component, creating an orbital expression of light.
