Under this title are gathered a series of independent essays that largely originated in a history course the author taught to design students, and whose common thread is the raw material with which historians work: time. The reflections that arose in the classroom revealed the need to look to the past to recognize that many phenomena that may seem modern are not, in fact, so much so, as well as to refer to what has already been done to be truly innovative and modern, through questioning or reinterpreting already known phenomena.
