A Shanghai-based artist, his work captures contemporary Eastern culture through vibrant and radical illustrations. Kzeng seeks to capture his cultural roots through the symbolism of traditions such as Chinese face painting or the flowers of the Song Dynasty. These elements are reinterpreted through his personal lens and, in this case, represented, for example, by three large eyes on the face that, according to the artist, "allow him to see past, present, and future, as if he were a messenger traveling through time." Color-wise, Kzeng uses blues on white porcelain to achieve visual harmony and balance. These colors are combined with traces of gold luster to create that sense of prestige so characteristic of ancient Chinese porcelain.
