Miquel Izquierdo is an editorial translator and author with over three decades of experience. A graduate in Italian Philology, he began his academic career as a Spanish lecturer at the University of Illinois at Chicago (1994-96).
Specializing in translation from Italian and English into Spanish and Catalan, he has translated into Spanish the works of fundamental authors such as Primo Levi, Michael Moore, Paolo Cognetti, and Renato de Fusco. His professional work ranges from large publishing groups like Planeta and Ediciones B to prominent independent publishers. A dilettante in design, photography, and art, he has channeled this passion into his writing, authoring the monograph Miguel Milá, Pre-Industrial Designer (Ed. La Fábrica, 2025) and the essay we are now discussing.
